These uncommon hand made flyfishing landing nets are really lovely -- can't say it plainer than that.  They are softly waxed and polished, hand-rubbed, constructed from select local hardwoods in northern Michigan and made by someone who handles his materials with the kind of love you'd expect from a fly angler making his own gear. Here is a Mulberry handle, with Maple and Black Walnut making up the bow.  Notice the lovely contrasting butt end of the net handle and the hand-carved trout in the oval inset (much like what is featured on our Fly Boxes) This one's the Small size, which measures 20 inches long, with bow dimensions of about 11 inches long by 9  inches wide.  Total weight is around 8 ounces.  Velcro dots on net and back of the handle allow for easy portage of the net while wearing it by keeping the bag out of the way.  You'll be happy to be stopped on the stream and asked where you got such a beautiful thing.
