Alan Cayn's been on the fly fishing scene for a while, and we first heard him in a live performance at Fuller's North Branch Outing Club in Lovells, Michigan, and again at the Michigan Trout Unlimited 50th Birthday Celebration in Grayling, Michigan.  Largely concerned with the topics of fly fishing and rivers, his is a unique style that blends Celtic and American folk traditions, with a contemporary singer-songwriter flare.  See "Extended Information" for list of track titles.

When we first viewed Stepping into the Stream, at the International Women Flyfishers Festival in Charleston, SC last year, it brought us to our feet.  Beautifully filmed, intelligently edited, and just the perfect film to show anyone who wants to know why you're so obsessed with fly fishing.  We ran up to the filmmaker, Barbara Klutinis and said we had to have this for The Painted Trout customers. Granted, this film is about women anglers, but it certainly pertains to the inner experiences that anyone into this sport might share.  No uber-testosterone went into the making of this film.  43 minutes long, standard DVD format.
